Bookish things

Reading progress update: I've read 37%.

The Wrath and the Dawn - Renee Ahdieh
— feeling doubt

The Giver

The Giver - Lois Lowry The ending though.

Si Loin de Toi

Si Loin de Toi - Tess Sharpe More like 4,5/5 stars.

Not the kind of book I usually read but I really liked this one. The end suprised me and made me cry.

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe - Benjamin Alire Sáenz This book is a beautiful story about friendship and love. I loved the characters, I loved the writing, I loved everything about it.

Le dernier jour de ma vie

Le dernier jour de ma vie - Lauren Oliver, Alice Delarbre I don't expect you to understand how much I disliked this book. I was told it was an amazing book, so I read it. Plus, I loved the first book of Delirium. But well, when I started reading it, I was bored. I hated Sam, because I hate this kind of girls who think they are better than everyone else. I didn't even see the change in her personality through the story. The thing of the main character waking up to realize she's living the same day over and over isn't even that original. Basically, I think this book was boring, I expected more from it.

Undone

Undone - Cat Clarke I love Cat Clarke's books, really. I think I just expected too much from this book. Also I didn't like the characters at all, except Kai, even though he's dead. I mean, this guy is perfect.
I didn't like Jem at all, because all she wanted really was to blame certain people for what happened. It wasn't even really seeking the truth, it was just to blame someone, because she needed it, she didn't even think of other possibilities. To her, it must have been the popular kids, not someone else. Moreover, she wanted to kill herself, so the end wasn't really surprising.

Starters

Starters - Lissa Price I think there's potential in this book. But it's not detailed enough, we don't know enough, and it felt too fast and too easy.

Abandon

Abandon - Meg Cabot This book was frustrating to read. The story could have been good. All the informations needed to understand came too late, though. I mean, we can't guess what led to this situation, can we?
